Following a critically lauded and completely sold out tour of New Zealand earlier this year, Civic Events is proud to present the incomparable SOL3 MIO at Wellington’s Michael Fowler Centre on Sunday September 28, and Monday September 29th, 2014.
The Samoan trio from Auckland, made up of tenor brothers Pene and Amitai Pati and their baritone cousin Moses Mackay, say they are thrilled to return to Wellington and to their favourite concert venue. “The show we did at the Michael Fowler Centre on our album tour in February was magical, the best of the tour. We are excited to return and to be performing new material for such a great audience”says Pene.
Since its release on November 15, 2013, the trio’s chart-topping eponymous album spent sixteen consecutive weeks in the number one position and has to date achieved an incredible six times platinum sales certification. The debut set was the biggest selling album in New Zealand in 2013.
“As the rest of the world is now falling under the spell of Sol3 Mio, we are delighted to have the chance to fit these two special shows into their busy schedule” says Civic Events co-promoter Campbell Smith. “And what is even more exciting is that we will hear new songs, delivered with that irrepressible humour that the whole of New Zealand has come to love”.
Be quick. These shows will sell out fast.
