After immersing herself in the live jazz scene and working with some of the countries most well-regarded musicians, singer songwriter Junelle is set to release her debut EP ‘Just This Sky’ on June 6.
‘Just This Sky’ has been co-written, recorded and produced by her partner Abraham Kunin (The Means, Esther Stephens, Home Brew).
With Influences such as Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse and Sam Cooke, Junelle’s soulful voice and honest personality has helped her to sculpt the intimate ambient pop tunes into a collection of songs.
With the production of the EP influenced by the likes of UK record label Young Turks and the LA Beats scene, ‘Just This Sky’ was recorded in Kunin and Junelle’s home studio in Sandringham Auckland
Junelle – a practising Buddhist – has created an EP full of raw truth and real emotion, showcasing her incredible voice and Abraham’s ability to mould songs while still maintaining their truth.
‘Just This Sky’ will be released on Bandcamp on 6th June and in celebration, Junelle will perform at Galatos Auckland on 7th June.
